Rules
- The competition is open to everyone
- The models should mainly consist out of plastic or resin, except for figurines, which may be made of a metal alloy.
- Entries are preferably made beforehand at the cost of €2/model. You can enter ‘online’. Entry at the day of the event is also possible at the cost of €3/model. All payments are made on the day of competition.
- Every 3rd model you enter is free of charge.
- There is no limit to the number of models that can be entered by one person.
- Junior modellers up to age 15 enter their models free of charge. Their models are placed in a separate class (JU).
- In every class, except for the ‘straight from the box’ class, one can enter at 3 different levels. Beginners, Advanced and Masters. Every modeller decides on which level he or she wants to enter, and indicates the chosen level in the relevant column on the entry form. It is not allowed to enter on different levels in the same class. If one wins a gold medal in a certain class, one is obliged to enter at a higher level in that particular class the year after.
- There is no subdivision in any of the ‘Straight from the Box’ Classes as these are regarded as ‘Beginner’ Classes, while we want to motivate modellers to enter in the regular Classes.
- In the event a model is built in a joint effort by several modellers, this should be indicated on the entry form.
- Every category will be judged by a minimum of 2 independent judges, all belonging to different modelling clubs.
- The name of the modeller may not be shown on the model or base. (e.g. no card with the name of the builder is allowed).
- The use of reference material (such as pictures or notes) is allowed on the competition table.
- If they feel that a model is entered in the wrong category, judges are allowed to move this model to the appropriate category.
- The decision of the judges will be final.
- Models may be taken from the competition tables after the prize giving.
- Models may be taken from the competition tables by professional photographers (for show reports in magazines and on the internet). If you do not want your model to be taken from the table, please say so at the registration desk when entering your model.
- Entering the competition means one agrees with the competition rules.
